Adam White is a Director of Photography and Steadicam/Camera Operator at Hemlock Films, based out of Cleveland, Ohio. He has won regional Emmy awards for several PBS documentary films, and with over 20 years of experience in film, television, and commercials, has worked on four continents. His credits as Steadicam/Camera Operator include films such as the 2015 Sundance selection The Bronze, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Kings of Summer, Miss Meadows, and Todd Hayne's upcoming film, Carol. Dyrk Ashton is an Assistant Professor of Film Studies at the University of Toledo. He holds a PhD in Film Studies from BGSU, and a BFA and MA in Film Production at Ohio State University. He has extensive professional experience producing short films, commercials, and low-budget features, and spent six years in Los Angeles as a jack-of-all-trades, working as Editor, Assistant Editor, Location Sound Recordist, Cinematographer, Assistant Director, Production Manager, and a SAG-AFTRA Actor. He has taught a variety of production and screenwriting courses but currently concentrates on the areas of film history, theory and criticism. (UT)

He has written, directed, and edited a variety of award-winning broadcast commercials and corporate branding pieces. More recently, he is the director of the 2014 feature-length documentary The Sax Man, which premiered at last year's Cleveland International Film Festival. It tells the inspirational story of beloved and iconic Cleveland street musician Maurice Reedus Jr. and his reunion with the group Sly, Slick & Wicked. (The Sax Man)
